The Power of Jude
If I'm to Put a Statue Out on the Lawn
|
Read a Selection from Section 1: |
If I'm to put a statue out on a lawn,
It won't be some warrior with a sabre drawn,
Or a president standing with far away look,
Or some old philosopher reading a book,
It wouldn't be some lady leading a parade,
Or the inventor of toast or marmalade,
Or even a deer with her little fawn,
Everyone puts those statues out on a lawn.
If I'm to put a statue out on a lawn,
It's for that guy who every dawn,
Is in there fighting and paying his dues,
For the abuse he took from drugs and booze;
Who is in the struggle every hour of the day,
To kick the drug and alcoholic way.
The hero fighting to keep the nightmares gone,
That's the statue I'd put out on the lawn.
We create for ourselves those things in life that we desire, simply by setting goals. St. Jude can help identify our goals. The goal is likened to the fuse connected to the Power. St. Jude lights the fuse that then ignites the silent explosion that propels you to the exact space in time where you will experience the Joy—at the space in time that is successfully consistent with your goals.
So, your first prayers to St. Jude may well be to assist you in setting your goals. This is not an easy task. In fact, it is the most difficult of all the tasks.
Once the goal is established, follow these simple steps:
Cause your mind to focus entirely on the goal;
If the goal is a material object, like a new car, put a picture of that car someplace where you'll see it regularly; or do whatever else you can do to assure yourself that your mind won't forget what it's focused upon;
Know and believe that the car will be yours; that your goal will be accomplished; think of yourself having accomplished the goal, walk and talk and act as though you've already got that new car. Feel that you have that new car-that your goal has been accomplished.
Think of yourself as already having accomplished the goal. Visualize how you will feel when the goal is accomplished and then dress, feel, and walk like a winner-your mental attitude to be such that the goal has been accomplished-quit worrying;
Call upon St. Jude for assistance either through your own prayers, through the prayers presented in Section Four in this book, or through the links set out on our web site (www.prayers-work.com).
What then occurs is a reality so incredible that unless you personally experience it, it is nearly impossible to describe. If one believes, it is not necessary to explain what has happened. If one does not believe, there is no adequate explanation. It is the release of an unseen Power that causes goals to be realized. The magnificence of the effect is such that some feel they should discuss it only in hushed tones. Regardless of how one attempts to explain the Power, they cannot, and yet, they know it to be true, there is no doubt. The Power is so effective, so dramatic, so real, each time it occurs it is viewed with renewed incredulity and wonderment.
Through Jude we are able to exercise the Power. There are literally millions of documented cases in which St. Jude has brought to his followers that which they requested of him. These are not religious fanatics who envisage what isn't there. These are people who, in most every other aspect of life, are reasonable and sober in their approach. But when it comes to St. Jude, their enthusiasm becomes intoxicating. They feel compelled to share with you their experience with The Power. They know the Power is available, generated through St. Jude, because they've seen it happen. Many have seen it more than once.
Before attempting to access the Power, we must be certain of what exactly it is we are asking of The Power through St. Jude. What is it we are seeking in life? This necessarily directs us to a review of what we want from life. Each of us desires a successful life. To achieve it, we must define it for ourselves. Once defined, then we ask St. Jude to call upon the Power, then success is ours.
